Capturing Kristy & Joe’s backyard maternity session in Western New York was an absolute honor. It’s truly special to be part of a couple’s journey during one of the most meaningful times in their life. When Kristy reached out, I couldn’t wait to be a part of their story. This session turned out to be everything they wanted and more!

The Perfect Location: Right Outside Their Door

At first, Kristy and Joe weren’t sure about the vibe or location for their session. They knew they loved the outdoors but weren’t sure where would feel right. We tossed around a few ideas before landing on the perfect spot: their own backyard in the rolling hills of Western New York.

The moment they suggested capturing this milestone right at home, I was sold. Their backyard maternity photos were taken in a beautiful hillside setting, with breathtaking views of the hills and stunning cotton-candy skies. But what made it even more special was the significance of the location. This was their home. This is where they’ll play catch with their first child, share family moments, and create memories for years to come.

A Cozy and Meaningful Session

This backyard maternity session was about more than just beautiful photos. It was about capturing the love, comfort, and joy Kristy and Joe share in their own space. These images will one day become a part of their child’s story showing how loved they were even before they entered the world.

Some of my favorite moments from this session include:

  • The gorgeous pond reflecting the sky’s colors
  • The curious ducks watching us run around and laugh
  • Most importantly, Kristy and Joe themselves! They were so fun, relaxed, and full of love

Their natural connection and playful energy made the session feel effortless. I’m always drawn to couples who trust me to capture their personalities, and these two did just that! You can see how their love for each other and their growing family shines through in every photo.

Sometimes, the best memories come from capturing the simple moments in places that are meaningful to you. You don’t need to travel far for stunning maternity photos your own backyard or nearby nature spots can be just as beautiful, and the memories will be even more priceless.
